Is it your goal to master your internal world so that you can create the external change you want to see in the world? 

Are the uncomfortable emotions such as fear, doubt, confusion, frustration and angry but of the internal obstacles that separate you from your success?  

What would be different if you were to master these emotions and never let them hold you back again? 

See, in order to do this, you must be aware of how you consciously and unconsciously manage these uncomfortable emotions that surface when we look to achieve something great. 

To explain a bit about my story, I flew to Canada by myself after 6 years of university. Why you may ask? 

Yes, I went to Canada to travel alone, see the world, and have fun. However, at some level I was also running. I was avoiding the uncomfortable emotion of fear and uncertainty, because I didn’t know what to do with my life a and decision to make for a career.  

This may be starting to resonate with you also. Whenever we procrastinate, sit in indecision, or hesitate in our life, it may seem like we have a legitimate reason. However, what we are really doing is avoiding an emotion that we are unwilling to feel.  

The real question is, what is that emotion for you? Is it fear, uncertainty, confusion, rejection, embarrassment, anger? Which emotion have you been avoiding and in that process held yourself back from your true potential? 

I think there is a real power in this question, and here’s why. 

Emotions are actually harmless.

They are subtle vibrations in our body that cause no harm to our physical or mental wellbeing. What most business owners think of is the REACTION to the emotions that lead to a negative consequence. This occurs when you feel the emotion and then base your decisions and actions from that place.  

But what would be different if you were to experience those emotions, face them head on, and be completely fine? What if you welcomed them, knowing they are the only thing holding you back? What goals would you achieve knowing that you are strong enough to feel ANY uncomfortable emotion? This is what we do when we work out in the gym or go for a run, right? We strengthen our bodies so we are capable of operating with more strength and health. It’s the same thing with your emotional fitness.  

So you’re probably wondering what I did with my Canada journey. 

Well I decided I was sick of living in comfort, avoiding my emotions and simply living well below my capability. So I invested half of everything I had in the bank to jump into my first online coaching program, and with it, I made a decision.  

The decision was to go all in and no matter what happens, I was going to find a way to make it work.  

So what skill can you adopt instead of avoiding your emotion? It’s PROCESSING it. 

Take a few minutes out of your day to breathe with your uncomfortable emotion. Welcome it in your body and fully feel it so that it can take its course and burn out like a candle.   

When you learn to do this effectively, you will build the unshakable confidence that nothing can hold you back. You can take as many big leaps in your life as you like. You can be that example people are looking for. You can experience deeper levels of joy, love, wealth and fulfillment all because you have taken the time to face your uncomfortable emotion head on instead of unconsciously avoiding it.
