Your mind is constantly thinking about your business.
You are asking yourself the same questions day in day out:
How do I get more clients?
How do I have more reach?
How do I choose and understand my niche?
H
When I ask my new clients why they want to achieve their business goals, they follow the same type of pattern.
I want to work for myself, have the freedom of time, abundance of money and the lifestyle to enjoy the company of my family.
Now, this would be true, it is what you are mostly after. However, I want you to look a bit deeper.
As humans, everything we do is because of how we think we will or won’t FEEL in the achievement of it.
What is it for you?
If you accomplished these goals would you feel more successful, happy, important, abundant, grateful, loved, worthy?
Maybe you want to feel less scarcity, worry, stress or anxiety?
Everything we do is because of how we think we will or won’t feel in the achievement of it.
Where’s the problem?
It’s never the actual event that makes you feel a particular emotion, rather it’s your thinking about it.
If it were the event itself, we would all feel the same emotion in the same situations.
Does everyone feel the same way when they get their first 1, 5 or 10 clients?
Not at all!
Some are very happy and excited, but others stress about the pressure of achieving results for them, and others may feel overwhelmed with the workload.
So it’s never the event, it’s ALWAYS your thinking about it that leads to a particular feeling or emotion.
Have you ever been in a situation where the circumstance remained the same, yet your thinking about it changed?
Let’s say you are in traffic and late for work. Frustration levels are kicking in because you’re likely to miss an important meeting. You slept in for 10 minutes which never happens! You are upset with yourself, so you start telling at the car that just pushed into your lane.
You then hear on the radio that the reason for the traffic was a car accident that killed 2 parents, leaving 3 young children behind.
How do you feel about the traffic now?
Some may feel sad and empathetic. Some of you may even start to feel lucky! You might have been included in the accident if you didn’t sleep in!
What just happened?
The traffic is still there. You are still in it. You still may be late to the meeting.
However, your thinking about the situation has now changed.
This is important for a couple of reasons.
1) If your feelings can change so easily with a shift in thinking, you can
2) If you view the achievement of a goal as something that makes you feel a particularly desired emotion, you are in for a world of pain, disappointment, and frustration when you run into obstacles in your way. Challenges will no longer be an opportunity for growth, but a barrier restricting you feeling emotions of importance to you.
Think about this:
Quality emotions are the fuel driving your actions to achieve your goals. If you are waiting to achieve your goals before you feel them, how on earth are you supposed to achieve the goal??
Think about achieving your biggest goal and celebrating. Put yourself in that scenario right now. Visualise it, taste it, feel it, enjoy it.
What are you thinking about feeling in that moment?
Do you feel worthy, accomplished, proud, successful, abundant, happy, excited?
What are you thinking that’s driving those emotions?
Are you thinking you are more than enough, you can do anything, you have great support, you have everything you need to be happy?
The KEY is to practice thinking and feeling that way NOW!
Do not wait for anything in your external world to make you feel any emotion. Feel that way now by
